The USB 2.0 2.5" Bio HDD Enclosure utilizes Fingerprint identification with high accuracy and speed, this means you can protect the data you store on the drive. The NIST Certified 100% hardware Cipher Engine encryption hides the Hard Drive until positive fingerprint authentication.

The fingerprint scan can detect fingerprints with scars, cuts, swelling and fingers that are dry or wet. The Firmware will ignore residual fingerprints so any print left from a previous scan can not be used to access the drive. The fingerprint recognition technology is effective by a combination of 1:1 and 1:N matching mechanism. The entire hard disk can be encrypted, from the boot sector to the operating system at 1.6Gbit/sec using DES algorithms. Encryption key lengths vary from 40-bit to 192-bit. The enclosure is compatible with Windows 98/ME/2000/XP.
